May Art Exhibition- The Light in Ordinary Days: Paintings by Dan Lukens

April 25, 2022 By Mitchell Eiss

We are excited to welcome our patrons for our first in person art reception since February of 2020!  This beautiful show of local scenes by Piermont artist Dan Lukens is sure to captivate and delight.

From the artist

As Emerson wrote, “Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not.”

The good in our lives, I believe, resides in familiar things. In a path well traveled, foliage changing with the season, or a face we know, there is a wonder. The light in our ordinary days is the beauty we choose to notice and appreciate.

Shared in these paintings is a personal reflection on a local life and a homage to the ties we carry with us.
