Kids’ Summer Reading Program

June 16, 2026 By Alexis Starke

Summer Reading Program  (SRP)   July 1 – August 3, 2025

We hope that your children will continue to read all summer. This year, our SRP theme is “Unearth a Story” and centers around dinosaurs. Starting Wednesday, July 1st, children ages 3 and up may come in to the library to report on their reading, or what was read to them, each week. The first time they come in, they will receive a necklace and “Brag Tag” rewards along with a reading log and stickers. Additionally, to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary, there will be books about America for elementary school readers on the display counter in the children’s room. Reading each book will give the reader a chance to participate in the weekly drawing for a Barnes&Noble gift certificate. Read as many as you can for the best chance to win!
