Pumpkin Painting Party was held on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. The regular Art Class was expanded to welcome other children to this special pre-Halloween event. 26 children decorated a pumpkin to take home for Halloween!
The 1st Annual Scarecrow Design Contest, sponsored by The Friends of the Dennis P. McHugh Piermont Public Library, was held October 19, 2008. 12 scarecrows were made and 2 winning scarecrows were selected by Piermont Mayor Chris Sanders.
